Beauty and the Beast - USUK

USUK is what I ship. This drawing in particular was inspired by an RP with my friend~Thunderbutt31. In it England gets attacked by a vampire, and America is bitten by a werewolf. Part of the idea (for me at least) was a legend I read where a couple is chosen every seven years to become werewolves; if they make it through the seven years without killing and/or devouring a fellow man (or woman), they will be restored to their original, human forms. This RP, in my eyes, was sort of like that: America and England have to help each other through their time as these creatures of the night. America protects England from the things that could harm him as a vampire (sunlight included) and England helps America see that their situation isn't as bad as he thinks it is.

Boulders blocking the smaller grains of
Sand in the elegant hourglass, slowing the
Flow of time.

In the blink of an eye, the boulders
Erode and become grains, making way for
The smaller stones. The pace of the grains
Becomes quicker.

The smaller stones wear down to dust;
The speed increases and the soul grows
Older and weaker with each grain that
Passes.

Then all at once, the sand vanishes,
No longer in the top half of the glass
Blub. The soul flickers for a moment
And then fades from existence, never to
