Carlos cautiously approached the shaking huddled mass in the corner, "Cecil?"
"Don't look at me!" the radio host tried to make himself smaller, as if trying to disappear completely.
Startled by the volume of the voice, Carlos froze, "Cecil, please..."
"No, Carlos! I'm hideous! A horrifying monster undeserving of your love....You are so beautiful and perfect...and I'm just this creature..."
The scientist placed his hand on Cecil's back, unfazed by his appearance, and sighed when he heard that; he could tell he was crying, "Who told you that nonsense about being hideous?"
Cecil sniffled and mumbled, "S-Steve......"
Carlos rolled his eyes; of course it was Steve Carlsberg, 'That explains why he hates him so much.'
"Esta bien." He pulled Cecil into a hug, humming their song to help calm the poor man.
Cecil looked up at his boyfriend in confusion, "B-but..."
"I'm not afraid, Cecil." Carlos assured, " And no matter what you look like, I will always love you."
